OPALACA

CUP CHARACTERISTICS.  An aromatic coffee with fine and delicate acidity, well balanced, tropical flavors such as grapes and berries and a citric finish.

LOCATION.  Includes the departments of Santa Barbara, Intibuca and Lempira.

RAINFALL.  1350 - 1900 mm

ALTITUDE. 1100 - 1700 masl (3680 - 5577 Feet above sea level).

TEMPERATURE. 14-22 C / 57-71F

SHADE TYPE.  Inga, Fruit and Forest.

VARITIES.  Bouron, Catuai, Typica and Lempira.

HARVEST.  November to March/April.

Los Dos Cristianos partners with a personally selected co-op that has relationships with the 1000 farmers and produces.  Their sorting facility in San Pedro Sula gives them great access to infrastructure and the CO-Op's ability to produce Q84+ coffee is the reason why we are a partner.  They produce UTZ, Organic and FLO certified coffee.
